What are the symptoms of arthritis?
Some arthritis symptoms are similar to signs of aging in pets. If you notice any of the following symptoms in your pet, we strongly recommend that you speak with your vet to determine the cause.
- Limping
- Reluctance to go for a walk
- Restricted movement
- Difficulty climbing on furniture/sofa, into the car, etc.
- Joint sensitivity
- Excessive licking of joints
What can be done to relieve the symptoms of arthritis?
Although there’s no cure for arthritis, there are many ways to relieve your pet’s pain, including a special diet, dietary supplements, alternative medicine, injections and physical therapy. Talk to your vet to develop a pain management plan for your pet.
